The Portitours Jeep Safari is an adventurous and scenic off-road tour experience in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Skydive Algarve offers thrilling tandem skydiving jumps in Alvor. Tandem skydiving is a popular way for first-timers to experience the thrill of jumping out of an airplane while being securely harnessed to an experienced instructor. This means you can enjoy the adrenaline rush of freefalling without needing prior training or experience.

Here's what you can expect with Skydive Algarve’s tandem jumps:

1. The Jump: After a short briefing and getting suited up, you'll board the aircraft with your instructor. The plane ascends to around 10,000 or 15;000 feet , and once you reach the jump altitude, you’ll leap out of the plane together. During the freefall, you’ll experience an incredible sensation of weightlessness as you plummet towards the ground at speeds of around 200 km/h (124 mph).
    
2. Freefall Experience: The freefall typically lasts about 30 to 40 seconds, depending on your jump altitude. It's a thrilling and unforgettable moment, where you’ll see breathtaking views of the Algarve coastline, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding countryside.
    
3. Parachute Opening: After the freefall, the instructor will deploy the parachute at around 5,000 feet (1,500 meters), slowing down your descent for a peaceful and scenic parachute ride. You'll have the chance to enjoy the stunning views as you glide toward the landing area.
    
4. Safety: Tandem skydiving is one of the safest ways to experience skydiving, as you are securely attached to a professional instructor who controls the entire jump. Skydive Algarve uses high-quality equipment and has a team of experienced instructors to ensure a safe experience.
    
5. Video & Photos: Many people choose to capture their skydiving experience with a video and photo package. You can have a professional cameraman jump alongside you to document the entire adventure, from your nervous excitement before the jump to the adrenaline rush during freefall.

The main flying season is from April to October but during Winter, weather permitting, we also fly.  We recommend booking for the first days of your stay (if on holiday), thus allowing some backup days in case the weather is not suitable.  If resident, vouchers are valid for 1 year.

We fly at Sunrise only in the Western Algarve and our base is the Aerodrome of Lagos.  We meet there then relocate to the launch site in our 4x4´s. Or you can meet us at the launch site. Launch site depends on the wind direction and speed so as to avoid going out to sea.  Normally we take off from the foothills of Monchique mountain and fly towards the South Coast

Each flight adventure includes
